- Intern/Researcher, Environmental Evaluation Unit, University of Cape Town: The EEU is an established and highly respected environmental consulting, research and training unit based at UCT. We are involved in a diverse range of environmental management, planning and policy projects in South Africa and other SADC countries. An intern/researcher is sought for a one-year, full-time contract post starting 1st March 2012. Applicants should be South African citizens preferably from a previously disadvantaged background. - Interns, Biodiversity Management and Research, CapeNature: CapeNature is offering 3 exciting internships for aspiring young conservation leaders wishing to advance their professional biodiversity conservation careers. The initiative will specifically support the development of previously disadvantaged young professionals in an environment of continuous learning. The successful interns will be mentored by experienced, competent and professional CapeNature staff for the 8 month duration of this internship. Closing date: 17 January 2012. - BSc Graduates Internships opportunity, SANBI: As part of the International Barcoding of Life project (iBOL) the barcoding of invasive species has become a priority and a project concerning this will be launched by the Early Detection and Rapid Response Programme based with the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) in 2011.
